The Hughes Wind Shield Protection History
Hughes Wind Shields is a Naples, Florida based manufacturing company that is owned and operated by it's founder, John Hughes, a Naples resident and former building contractor. Eleven years ago John got his hands on a spaceage piece of plastic called polycarbonate and set out to discover if it was stronger than Mother Nature, Herself.
Since that time, many hours of research and development have been invested to bring forth the best possible product to the marketplace. This has resulted in a hurricane and security panel that will withstand a category 5 hurricane that packs winds of 140 to 150 mph. It's a product so new - so unique in it's design, concept and application that we have applied for 5 patents!
